The Battle of The East

“The Battle of the East" is the first summer project in the history of AIESEC Bulgaria, which is realized in July and August. Project is organized in partnership with the Youth Organization for Development of Bulgaria.

The aim of the project is to give an opportunity for 8 trainees (from China and Slovakia), divided into two teams, to arrive in Varna and work on different topics for a period of 7 weeks. At the end of the project, each team should prepare a multimedia product to present Bulgaria through the eyes of a foreigner. To achieve the ultimate goal 3 main themes are identified for the volunteers to work on:

1) Historical and cultural heritage of Bulgaria,
2) Ecology and Nature Environment in Bulgaria,
3) Summer tourism and attractions on the Black Sea coast.

Trainees will work on each topic for 2 weeks and are expected to visit different places in Varna and Bulgaria, held interviews with locals, take pictures, videos and more.

The project ends with a formal presentation of the final multimedia product to the public in Varna. The event is expected to be at the end of August.
